The passing has occurred of Brigid Kyne (née Browne) from Golf Links Road, Roscommon Town, Roscommon, F42 YK31
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brigid Kyne (née Browne), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Brigid passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2025, after a short illness, surrounded by the loving care of the dedicated staff at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe.
Brigid was the cherished wife of the late Vincent Kyne and will be deeply missed by her daughters Anne, Norah, Sheila, Karen, Evelyn, and Mary, along with their partners Eamonn, Graham, and Natasha. Her grandchildren Emma, Stephen, Sam, Aileen, Fiona, Orla, Patrick, Conor, Ewan, Molly, Hannah, and Vincent were a great source of joy to her, as were her great-grandchildren Liam, Sophie, and Rian. Brigid will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and her many friends and neighbours who provided her with unwavering support and kindness over the years.
Brigid is predeceased by her loving parents Michael and Kathleen, her dear sister Rose, her brother Patrick, and her son-in-law Eddie.
She will forever be remembered for her warm, loving nature, her devotion to her family, and her ability to bring light into the lives of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
Funeral Arrangements
Brigid will be reposing at her home in Golf Links Road (F42 YK31) on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Her removal will take place on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m., arriving at Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Coman’s Cemetery.
