In Loving Memory of Catherine Flynn (née Glancy) from Derreentawney, Ballyfarnon, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Catherine Flynn (née Glancy) passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and in the gentle care of the exceptional staff at North West Hospice, Sligo.
A native of Derreentawney, Ballyfarnon, Catherine was predeceased by her cherished parents, Paddy and Margaret.
She will be deeply mourned by her devoted husband, Joe; her sons, Kelan and Adrian; her daughter, Elaine (Clancy); her daughter-in-law, Sheila; her son-in-law, Darren; and her adored grandchildren, Dean, Amy, and Isabelle. Catherine is also survived by her sisters, Margaret and Mona; her brothers, Nicholas, Patrick, Gabriel, Kevin, and Aidan; as well as her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours, and her many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations, if desired, to North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Reposing / Funeral Arrangements:
Catherine will repose at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, on Sunday evening, January 12th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Her remains will then be brought to St. Patrick’s Church, Crossna, on Monday morning for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m., followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, at approximately 4:00 p.m.
