The passing has occurred of Cathy Flynn (née O’Brien) from Wicklow Town, Wicklow & Greystones, Wicklow on 6th February 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy Flynn (née O’Brien), formerly of Seaview Cottages, Redford, Greystones, and more recently of St Laurence’s Road, Wicklow Town. Cathy passed away peacefully on Thursday, 6th February 2025, at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by her devoted husband John, her beloved sister Margaret, and her cherished grandson Jack, Cathy leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be forever missed by those who knew her.
Cathy was the much-loved mother of John, Paul, Sharon, Thomas, Noel, and Katherina. She will be deeply missed by her beloved children, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother Maurice, and her extended family. Cathy’s kindness, generosity, and love for her family were evident in everything she did, and her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who loved her.
Funeral Arrangements
Cathy will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town, on Sunday, 9th February, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Her remains will then be removed from the family home on Monday, 10th February, at 9:30 am, walking via Convent Hill, Market Square, and Main Street to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, where her Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 am. Following the Mass, Cathy will be laid to rest in Rathnew Cemetery.
