




The passing has occurred of Colette Flynn (née McDonnell) from Raheny, Dublin, and formerly of Ard Na Gréine, on Thursday, 3rd April 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Colette Flynn (née McDonnell) on Thursday, 3rd April 2025, at Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by the love and presence of her devoted family. Colette was in the gentle care of the hospital’s compassionate staff in her final moments and left this world with grace and dignity.
A Life Lived with Warmth, Devotion, and Kindness
Born and raised in Ard Na Gréine, and a cherished resident of Raheny, Colette was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and heartfelt generosity. She gave endlessly to her family, neighbours, and friends, offering love, support, and wisdom at every turn. A devoted mother and proud grandmother, Colette’s presence brought comfort and calm wherever she went.
She was predeceased by her beloved brother and sisters, whose memories she carried fondly throughout her life.
Deeply Missed and Fondly Remembered
Colette will be forever missed by her loving family: Her devoted son Brendan, her daughters Marian and Karen, and her caring sons-in-law John and Paul. Her treasured grandchildren Adam, Jonathon, Luke, and Tim brought immense pride and joy into her later years. Also mourning her loss are her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends who knew and loved her gentle soul.
Funeral Arrangements
Colette will repose at Jennings Funeral Home, Springdale Road, Raheny, on Monday, 7th April, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, where friends and loved ones are welcome to pay their respects.
Her Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, 8th April, at 10:00am in St. Paul’s Church, Ayrfield, followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium.

Colette’s life was a testament to quiet compassion, selfless love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
