It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth McCaffrey (née Clarke), late of Galbally Road, Dromore, Co. Tyrone, and formerly of Beltra, Co. Sligo. Elizabeth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 7th January 2025, at the South West Acute Hospital, surrounded by her devoted family.
Beloved wife of the late Fay, Elizabeth was a loving and treasured mother to Paul, Mark (Monica), John (Eleanor), Declan (Donna), Conor (Brie), and Una (Paul). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to her 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought her immense joy.
Elizabeth will be fondly remembered by her cherished siblings, Anne Burke, Paul, Mary Conway, Matthew, Dolores McKeon, and Connie Fleming. She will also be deeply missed by her daughters-in-law, son-in-law, extended family, and wide circle of friends.
For those who wish to pay their respects, Elizabeth will journey from Galbally Road through Main Street and the Omagh Road on her way to St. Davog’s Church, where she will arrive at 10:50 am. A heartfelt request has been made for family flowers only, with donations in lieu kindly accepted for Ward 6, South West Acute Hospital, c/o McAtee Funeral Directors.
Elizabeth’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be forever remembered and deeply missed. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Reposing / Funeral Arrangements:
Reposing: Wednesday 5pm- 10pm and Thursday 9/1/25 from 2pm to 9pm at Grianan House Funeral Home, 4 Carnalea Road, Fintona, BT78 2BY.
Funeral mass: Friday 10/1/25 at 11am in St. Davog’s Church, Dromore followed by burial in the church cemetery.
