The death has occurred of Ellen McDermott (née Locket), from Scrine, Rahara, Co. Roscommon, on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, peacefully at Oakwood Nursing Home, Roscommon, with her devoted husband Derry and family by her side.
Ellen will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband Dermot (Derry), her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and her wonderful neighbours and friends. The McDermott family is sincerely grateful for the support and kindness shown during this difficult time. Funeral Mass will be available via live stream.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing / Funeral Arrangements
Ellen will repose at Hamrock's Funeral Home, Athleague, on Sunday, January 19th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by removal to The Church of Mary Immaculate, Rahara. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, January 20th, at 11:00 am, with burial afterward in Rahara Cemetery.
