The passing has occurred of James (Jim) Holmes from Toberkeagh, Ballintubber, Co. Roscommon and 79 Cumberland Road, Dundonald, Belfast
Jim Holmes, who passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe, surrounded by his loving family, was predeceased by his dear parents, William and Esther.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Della (Selvin, Dublin) and Gemma (McDonagh, Ballintubber), and their mother Alice. Jim’s beloved grandchildren, James, Joseph, Aidan, Saoirse, Caitlin, Erin, and Nora, will forever hold him in their hearts.
Jim is also mourned by his brother Donald (Newtownabbey), sons-in-law Noel and Damien, his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours, and his many friends, particularly his close friend Roy.
Funeral Arrangements
Jim will repose at McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea, on Thursday evening, February 6, from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
Following this, Jim’s committal service and cremation will take place at Roselawn Crematorium, Belfast, on a date to be confirmed.
