The passing has occurred of John Ashe from Killahan, Abbeydorney, Co. Kerry
John Ashe, of Killahan, Abbeydorney, Co. Kerry, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, in the gentle care of the staff at University Hospital Kerry, surrounded by his devoted family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael (Mickey) and Catherine, and by his beloved brothers Dan, Mikey, and Timmy, as well as his sisters Nora, Sheila, and Mary.
John will be dearly missed by his heartbroken daughter, Laura, and her partner Stephen; his cherished grandson, Nathan; his sisters Kathleen and Breda (Bridie); his brothers Brendan and Pat; his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, and his extended family. He will also be fondly remembered by his many neighbours and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
John will repose at Casey’s Funeral Home, Causeway, on Tuesday, February 4, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, February 5, at 11:00 am in St. Bernard’s Church, Abbeydorney. The Mass will be live-streamed and can be viewed here
Following the Mass, John will be laid to rest in Killahan Cemetery, Abbeydorney.
