The Passing Has Occurred of John Mullins from Castlemartyr, Co. Cork on 14 April 2025

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of John Mullins, late of Castlemartyr, and formerly of Bishopstown, Cork and Stepaside, Dublin. John passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on Monday, 14th April 2025.

A Life Filled with Love and Dedication

John was a cherished husband, a devoted father, and a true gentleman whose warmth and character touched the lives of all who knew him. Whether through his family life, his work, or his friendships, he brought light and laughter wherever he went. His legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength.

Beloved by His Family

John will be lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Siobhán, and his adoring children Michael and Sarah, who were the centre of his world.

He is deeply mourned by his parents, Pat and Maureen Mullins of Bishopstown, and by his brothers Jim, Pat, Kieran, and Brian. Also grieving are his sisters-in-law Helen, Gail, Maebh, Deirdre, Theresa, and Paula, and his brothers-in-law Colman, Richard, and Peter.

His loss is also deeply felt by his many nieces and nephews, relatives, aunts, uncles, neighbours, and a wide network of colleagues and friends, all of whom held John in the highest regard.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at the Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road (Jerh. O’Connor Ltd.) on Wednesday, 16th April, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, where friends and loved ones are welcome to pay their respects.

A Liturgy of the Word will take place on Thursday, 17th April at 1:00pm in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Dennehy’s Cross, Cork. The service can be viewed live online here.

Following the ceremony, John will be laid to rest at The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

In Loving Memory

John’s sudden departure has left a space that cannot be filled, but his life will be remembered with gratitude and pride. The echoes of his laughter, his wise counsel, and his genuine care will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.

A Final Blessing
