The Passing has occurred of John O’Connor from Ballyvogue, Goleen, Co. Cork
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John O’Connor, Ballyvogue, Goleen, Co. Cork, who departed this life peacefully on February 11th, 2025. John passed away in the presence of his devoted family and under the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses, and staff of Level 5 ICU at Cork University Hospital.
A cherished son of Bridget and the late Michael O’Connor, John will be forever remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and the unwavering love he showed to those around him. He was a beloved brother to his sisters Breda and Betty, a caring uncle to Joanne and Lorraine, and a doting granduncle to his grandnephew and grandniece. His loss is deeply felt by his extended family, dear friends, wonderful neighbours, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
John was a man of great character, known for his generosity, humility, and deep-rooted love for his community. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Funeral Arrangements
John’s Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday, 13th February, at 1:00 PM in the Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea and St. Patrick, Goleen. Following the service, John will be laid to rest in Kilmoe Cemetery.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, the house will remain private, and family flowers only, please.
