




The passing has occurred of John (Sean) Moloney from Limerick City, Limerick
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John (Sean) Moloney, of Keeper View Terrace, Athlunkard Street, Limerick, and formerly of Crecora Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick. Sean passed away on February 19th, 2025, at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family.
Sean was a former taxi driver and a member of the Burlington and 12th Infantry Battalion, Sarsfield Barracks. He was predeceased by his parents John and Kathleen, his sister Mary, and his brother Pat.
He will be deeply missed by his sons David, Brian, Aidan, and Stephen, and their mother Marian. Sean’s grandchildren River, Autumn, and Tadhg will also carry his memory with love. He is mourned by his daughter-in-law Lynda, his sisters Margaret and Catherine, along with nephews, nieces, extended family, friends, and neighbours.
Sean’s gentle soul will be forever remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Funeral Arrangements
Sean will be reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street on Friday, February 21st, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with removal thereafter to St. Mary’s Church, Athlunkard Street.
His Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday, February 22nd, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial in Mount St. Lawrence (Extension) Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed online here
