In Loving Memory of Kathleen Connolly of St. Joseph's Villas, and formerly of Newtownflood, Summerhill, Athlone, Co. Roscommon. Kathleen Connolly passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, under the exceptional care of the staff at Sonas Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her parents, Sean and Mary Ann, her brother Hubert, her sister Mary (Macken), and her brother-in-law P.J. Kathleen will be greatly missed by her sister Teresa (Sisters of Mercy), her brothers John and Jim, sisters-in-law Maura and Patricia, her nieces Yvonne, Deirdre, Marie, and Ann, nephews Michael, Declan, Dermot, and Sean, her grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, neighbours, and her many friends.

The family kindly requests family flowers only. Donations, if desired, can be made to the Sonas Nursing Home Comfort Fund.

May Kathleen’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Reposing / Funeral Arrangements:

Kathleen will repose at the Strand Funeral Home (N37 WY17) on Tuesday evening, January 14th, from 6:00 p.m. Removal will take place at 7:45 p.m. to Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church, arriving at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 15th, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial in Drum Cemetery.
