The Passing Has Occurred of Mairéad Whelan (née Moran) from Glenina Heights, Mervue, Galway and formerly of Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon
It is with great sadness that Mairéad Whelan, beloved wife of the late Paddy and loving mother of the late Brenda and baby Michael, passed away peacefully on 14th February 2025 at Caiseal Geal Nursing Home, Galway. Predeceased by her sisters Christina and May, and brothers Ambo, Paddy, and Johnny.
Mairéad will be deeply mourned by her son Padraic (Dublin), daughter Martina Collins (Athenry), her sister Bridie, brother-in-law Andy, daughter-in-law Cáit, grandchildren Shane, Niall, Padraic, Brian, Avril, Eimear, and Laura, as well as her nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
Monday, 17th February 2025 – Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family, Funeral Parlour, Mervue, Galway from 5:00 pm, with Removal at 6:30 pm to the adjoining church.
Tuesday, 18th February 2025 – Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Mairéad at 11:00 am.

Following Mass, Mairéad will be laid to rest in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.
