Margaret Hunt (née McGovern), aged 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9th, 2025, in the compassionate care of Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, Shankill, after a long illness.

Originally from Athleague, Co. Roscommon, and late of St. Martins, Enniskerry, Margaret was the beloved wife of the late John and a devoted mother to Vincent, Sean, Damien, Mairead, and Brian. She was a cherished grandmother to Róisín, Ferdia, Shane, Eric, Jack, Aisling, Adela, Angelica, Darryl, Michael, Ryísa, and Dara.

Margaret will be fondly remembered by her daughters-in-law, Bernie and Noralma; her son-in-law, Justin; and Natallia, along with her extended family, friends, and all who knew her. She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Bernadette. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Margaret will repose at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, on Sunday, January 12th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with prayers at 3:45 p.m. A Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, January 13th, at 11:00 a.m., in St. Mochonog’s Church, Kilmacanogue, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery
