It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Hyland, who passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on the 11th of February 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Mary’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the community.
Mary was predeceased by her father John, her mother Brede, and her brother Liam. She will be lovingly remembered by her family: her sisters Ann (Junior R.I.P), Bregeen (Pauric), Joan, Leonie, and Bernie (Oliver), along with her nieces, nephews, extended family both here and abroad, and her many dear friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Mary’s family invite you to join them in celebrating her life. Her remains will repose at Tir Conal Funeral Home, Donegal Town (F94FX3A) today (Wednesday) from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Following this, Mary will repose overnight in the home of her sister Ann.
On Thursday morning, the funeral will leave Ann’s home at 12:30 PM for a 1:00 PM Funeral Mass at St. Agatha’s Church, Clar. After the Mass, Mary will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

The family kindly requests that the house remain private to family only on Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Diabetic Association, c/o any family member.
