The passing has occurred of Maura Leddy (née Gaffney) from Drumbess, Killeshandra, Cavan on 6th February 2025. It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maura Leddy (née Gaffney), who passed away on Thursday, 6th February 2025, in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Maura was predeceased by her dear husband Phil and leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to her family.
Maura will be deeply missed by her children Dymphna, Gerard, Rosemary, Martina, Anthony, and Oliver, as well as her beloved grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She will also be remembered with great affection by her daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends. Maura’s kind heart, generosity, and nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Funeral Arrangements
Maura will repose at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan (H12 RF78) on Saturday, 8th February, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Her Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday, 9th February, at 1:00 pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coronea (H12 HN53). Following the Mass, Maura will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
The family kindly requests that the house remains strictly private at this time to allow them to grieve in peace. May she rest in peace.
