The Passing has occurred of Maureen Moynihan (née Neville) – Upper Shannon, Enniscorthy, Wexford.
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Maureen Moynihan (née Neville) of Upper Shannon, Enniscorthy, Wexford, who peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, in the comforting and dedicated care of the staff at Lawson House Nursing Home.
Beloved wife of the late Seamus, Maureen was a cherished mother to Jer, Eugene, Mary, Paschal, and Martina, and a devoted sister to Paddy and Michael. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Owen and Margaret Neville, her brother Willie, and her sister Anne.
Maureen’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of her children and their partners, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and many friends who had the privilege of knowing her warmth and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations, if desired, to a charity of your choice, reflecting Maureen’s compassionate spirit and her lifelong dedication to helping others.
Funeral Arrangements
Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 – Maureen will repose at Browne’s Funeral Home, Enniscorthy (Y21 H3K5), from 3:00 pm. At 6:00 pm, she will be brought to St. Senan’s Parish Church.
Saturday, January 25th, 2025 – A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Senan’s Parish Church at 12:00 noon, offering family and friends a chance to come together in prayer and remembrance. Following the Mass, Maureen will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Maureen will be fondly remembered for her loving nature, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her journey. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
