The Passing Has Occurred of Michael (Phil) Coyne from Letterbrickaun, Leenane, Co. Galway

With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Michael (Phil) Coyne on February 21st, 2025, at his home in Letterbrickaun, Leenane, surrounded by his devoted family.

Michael was predeceased by his beloved parents, Pete (Phil) and Bridgie (née Coyne), and his sisters, Judy and Mary-Ann.

Deep Family Values

A man of kindness, strength, and deep family values, Michael will be forever cherished and deeply missed by his loving wife Margaret (née Coyne), his son James, his daughters Marie, Julie, Pauline, and Sarah, and his brother Phil.

Adored Grandfather

He was a proud and much-adored grandfather to Sophia, Maeve, Grace, Kiera, Molly, Maelys, and Walter, and a respected father-in-law to Krista, Ken, Shane, Martin, and Frank. His memory will also be treasured by his brother-in-law Kevin, sister-in-law Ann, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, wonderful neighbours, and many dear friends.

Generosity

Michael’s warm spirit and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through his family and the many cherished memories they share.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing: Michael will repose at his home (H91 R268) on Sunday, February 23rd, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm, where family, friends, and neighbours are welcome to pay their respects.

Funeral Mass: A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, February 24th, at 1:00 pm in St. Michael’s Church, Leenane.

Burial: Following the Funeral Mass, Michael will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery, where he will find eternal peace.

In Loving Memory

Michael was a man of integrity, love, and devotion, always putting his family and friends at the heart of his life. His wisdom, laughter, and unwavering kindness will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
