The passing has occurred of Mícheál Conroy from Pallas Little, Portlaoise, Laois
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mícheál Conroy, of Pallas Little, Portlaoise, on the 18th of February 2025, at the age of 80, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Mícheál was the beloved husband of Maureen and a dearly loved father to Michael, Marie, Brian, and Carol. He was a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren Andy, Sophie, Darragh, Danny, and Cillian.
Mícheál will be greatly missed by his devoted sister Dina, as well as his sisters-in-law Brigid, Kathleen, Grace, and Pauline, and brother-in-law Noel. He leaves behind his sons-in-law Shane and Ciaran, his daughter-in-law Valerie, along with his nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours, and friends. Mícheál also spent many happy years working with his former colleagues at Kellys Foundry, where he was well regarded by all who knew him.
Funeral Arrangements
Mícheál will repose at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise, on Wednesday, February 19th, from 6 pm until 7.30 pm, with a Rosary recital at 7 pm.
His funeral will then arrive at St. Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin, for a Mass of the Resurrection at 11 am on Thursday, February 20th. Following the Mass, Mícheál will be laid to rest in the adjoining St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Ballyfin.
