It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Keane (née Barrett), late of Clooncrim, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon, and formerly of Doolough, Geesala, Co. Mayo, who passed away on Friday, 17th January 2025 at Mayo University Hospital.
Nora was predeceased by her beloved daughter Karen, her parents Michael and Ellen, her brothers Michéal, Padraig, Thomas, and Eamonn, and her daughter-in-law Brídann. She leaves behind her loving husband Martin, daughters Marie and Noeleen, and son Brian, as well as her son-in-law Patrick, Brian’s partner Jennifer, and her treasured grandchildren.
She will also be sadly missed by her brothers Martin and Liam, along with her extended family, relatives, and a wide circle of friends. Nora’s loving nature and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be fondly remembered by all her loved ones.
The family requests that the house remain private at this time. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, can be made to the Mayo University Hospital ICU.
Nora will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
Reposing / Funeral Arrangements:
Nora’s remains will repose at Donnellan’s Funeral Home, Clare St., Ballyhaunis, on Sunday, 19th January 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Her funeral will arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon, on Monday, 20th January 2025, for Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by burial in the local cemetery.
