It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert (Bertie) Shaw from Ballymena, Co. Antrim, on April 14th, 2025. Robert peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Devotion
Robert (Bertie), who resided at Apartment 1, Block 5, Castle Street Mews, Ballymena, was a devoted husband to his late wife, Hilary, and a loving father to his daughter Helena and her partner Anthony. He was also a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love for his family. Robert is further mourned by his dear sister, June, and his extended family circle, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Funeral Arrangements
A funeral service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at Stevenson’s Funeral Home, located at 30 Cushendall Road, Ballymena, on Thursday, April 17th, at 3:15 PM. This service will be a time for friends and family to come together and remember Robert’s kindness, generosity, and spirit.
Following the service, there will be a private family cremation at a later date.

The family kindly requests that only family flowers be sent; however, donations in memory of Robert may be made to Marie Curie, a cause close to his heart, c/o James Stevenson & Son Funeral Directors at the address above.
