




The Passing Has Occurred of Susan Hession (née Higham) from Station Road, Ballinasloe, Galway
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Susan Hession, of Station Road, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, who passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was in the tender care of the devoted staff at Ballinasloe Community Nursing Unit, Creagh.
Susan was predeceased by her husband John Hession, her mother Kathleen Seddon (Preston, UK), her brother Bill (Preston, UK), and her granddaughter Emma (New Inn).
She will be deeply missed by her sons Sean and Joe, daughter Mary (Egan), daughters-in-law Assumpta and Elaine, son-in-law Tom, her beloved grandchildren Alison, Mary, Deirdre, Johnathan, Lilly, Rachel, and Conor, her brother and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins in Ireland, UK, and the USA, as well as her wide circle of friends, neighbours, and extended family.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Grenham’s Funeral Home, Ballinasloe Monday, February 17th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Private Removal to St. Michael’s Church, Ballinasloe on Tuesday, February 18th, for Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm
Burial will follow in Creagh Cemetery. Susan’s Funeral Mass will be streamed live and can be viewed online HERE
Family Requests
The family kindly requests family flowers only, with donations, if desired, to Ballinasloe Community Nursing Unit and Ballinasloe Social Services. Donations can be made HERE
In accordance with Susan’s wishes, the family would appreciate house private on Tuesday morning. The family extends heartfelt thanks for your prayers, kindness, and support during this difficult time. Messages of sympathy and condolences can be left in the section below.
