Tommy Joe Keaveney

Tommy Joe Keaveney, from Curragh, Castlecoote, Roscommon, passed away suddenly on Monday January 6th, 2025, at Portiuncula University Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary, his brother Malachy, and his nephew Christopher.
Tommy Joe was the beloved husband of Detta (née Connolly) and a cherished father to Francis, Paul, Micheál, James, Sarah, and Mark. He will be deeply missed by his devoted family, including his sisters Mary, Sally, Catherine, and Eileen, as well as his daughters-in-law Charin, Olive, Natalie, Monica, and Aisling, and Sarah’s partner Declan. His grandchildren Nya, Emma, Kilian, D.J., Mary, Saoirse, and Róisín, along with Declan’s son Stephen, Olive’s son Dylan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbours will also mourn his loss. May he rest in peace.
Reposing / Funeral Arrangements
Reposing: Thursday 9/1/25 5pm to 7pm at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon
Funeral mass: Friday 10/1/25 at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Castlecoote. This will be followed by burial in Fuerty cemetery
